BRIDGES OVER OBSTACLES

In this new body of work, Ledesma looks to nature (ants) to find answers to the chaos in our world today.

The artist brings the human to the level of the ants — and the ants to the level of the human — to explore the notion of human survival as seen through the egalitarian society of these small and industrious insects.

In contrast is our notion of a “civilized” world; where competition and individualism propels division, where external and internal walls become more important than building bridges, empathy, and community.
