NOT QUITE THERE YET
Inspired by the pervasive chaos and destruction of our world—a "civilized madness”, I explored the vital question of inner safety amidst external turmoil. This led me to consider fundamental questions: What constitutes safety? How do we create a secure internal space when the external world feels so threatened?
"Not Quite There Yet" addresses this critical interplay between inner and outer realities. The artwork's two sections visually represent this duality. The outer section, rendered in harsh strokes and dark, pointed lines, depicts the chaotic and wounded external world. In contrast, the inner section is clear and luminous, symbolizing a reflective, intuitive, and spiritual space where awareness and imagination can transcend destructive, ego-driven behaviors.
The piece invites viewers to contemplate their own perspectives, ultimately suggesting a spiritual path toward balance and awareness as a means to heal our planet.
